I dedicate this Acrylic Bird to my mother's macaw.
Design students are challenged to create a bird, laser cut from clear acrylic, that explores the possibilities of abstraction, simplicity, and interlocking planes.
I wanted to create this life-size acrylic blue and yellow macaw in honor of my mother's stolen bird. It was definitely a difficult task to do especially since it is so big that I had to move to a bigger photo booth.
But it was totally worth it.
